Theoretical evaluation of production

Skill Development:
Any work-related learning or training activity that results in enhanced skills, knowledge and aptitude to perform a job.

Through out my AS coursework my skills and knowledge enhanced dramatically from my preliminary task to my final product of my media magazine.
My preliminary task was very basic and i didn't use much creativity in the way in which i made it, where as in my final product i feel it looks professional like a real magazine, due to the skills i learnt through photoshop.

Digital Technology:
Digital electronics are systems that represent signals as discrete levels, rather than as a continuous range.

T take pictures for my photoshoot, which i used for pictures in my final magazine product, I used a digital camera as I was able to take lots of shots and see them straight after I take them so i'm able to see where I need to improve in my shot.

Creativity:
The use of the imagination or original ideas, esp. in the production of an artistic work.

I believe that from the time of my preliminary task, to my final product that my creativity skills improved dramatically. I feel that my gained skills in programs such as photoshop and premiere helped this, as I was able to get use to the programs more, and so i was more comfortable using more aspects and features of them.

Research and planning:
The systematic investigation into and study of materials and sources in order to establish facts and reach new conclusions and the process of making plans for something.

During my entire AS coursework, i researched into and analyised many aspects of magainzes of a similar type to mine (indie); Front covers, double-page spreads and contents pages. After this, i went on to do an indepth plan of everything i would do and include in my coursework. This included doing drafts and a powerpoint.

Post production:
Post-production is part of the filmmaking process. It occurs in the making of motion pictures, television programs, radio programs, advertising, videos, audio recordings, photography and digital art.

For the post-production of my magazine, _______?

Media conventions:
The ‘rules’ that are generally understood and accepted when producing a media work in a particular genre. For example, the conventions of a soap opera include the setting in a small community of place of work, the fact that there is generally one episode broadcast per day, often with an omnibus at the weekend, the cliff-hanger ending to encourage the audience to watch again tomorrow, and many more. Observing these conventions makes a media product more ‘mainstream’.

Thorughout my coursework, I used common media conventions to help me analyise existing music magainzes, in relation to my research, and used the four codes and conventions to help with my  planning of my final product.
